Area of Practice: Criminal Defence

Tiffany specialises in criminal defence work. She has experience in a wide range of criminal matters including judge alone trials, bail hearings, charge negotiations and sentencings. She has acted in several High Court appeals. She is also experienced in assisting disqualified or suspended drivers in obtaining limited licenses to drive for work purposes.

Tiffany accepts legal aid retainers, and also works as a Duty Lawyer in the Ashburton District Court. She is committed to doing her part to ensure all people have access to legal representation and guidance as they navigate the criminal justice system.

Tiffany also has approval from the Law Society to accept direct instructions from clients without an instructing solicitor on criminal matters.

Tiffany joined the Independent Bar with over 10 years’ experience in general legal practice including criminal defence work, and was a partner for 4 years at an established general practice firm in Ashburton. She has been practising on her own account since 2020.

Tiffany is based in Ashburton, and practises in Ashburton, Timaru and Christchurch.
