Louisa Jackson
BARRISTER
Louisa is a specialist family law barrister. She advises and represents clients in all areas of family law, with a special interest in complex relationship property, estate claims, incapacity issues, relocation, and matters relating to children.
Prior to becoming a barrister, Louisa was an Associate at a specialist family law firm in Wellington, and Crown Counsel at the Crown Law Office. She has a first-class Honours degree in Law, a bachelor’s degree in social policy, and has published articles relating to relationship property, child protection, and mental health.
Louisa is an experienced litigator who has regularly appeared in the Family Court and High Court. She draws on this experience to provide strategic advice across all areas of family law. Louisa is happiest when helping clients resolve disputes in a positive and efficient way. If it becomes necessary to go to Court, Louisa is an able litigator and a strong advocate for her clients.
Louisa is empathetic, clear headed, and understands the difficulties presented by family conflict. Whether in negotiation, mediation, or litigation, Louisa works to ensure her clients feel heard, receive practical advice, and find the best path forward.
