Deb Davies

BARRISTER

Deb has more than 25 years’ experience in criminal litigation. After her admission to the bar in 1998, she worked initially at the Crown Law Office, then for the office of the Hamilton Crown Solicitor between 1999 and 2005, conducting criminal and regulatory trials and appeals. In 2005, she worked for the office of the Crown Solicitor at Palmerston North, initially as a senior prosecutor, then principal prosecutor. She regularly conducted criminal trials in both the District and High courts. She was made a partner of the firm in 2021.

Deb joined the independent bar in September 2023, specialising in criminal defence work and conducts criminal trials and appeals. Deb is a faculty member for the Litigation Skills programme and is on the Crown panel in Whangārei.
