Charlotte Brook
BARRISTER
Charlotte has more than 20 years’ experience in criminal and regulatory litigation. After her admission in 2003 she worked as a Crown Prosecutor in both Palmerston North and Wellington conducting criminal trials in the District and High Courts. She then worked for a major European law firm specialising in professional disciplinary work. In 2010 she joined the Crown Law Office where she was Senior Crown Counsel in the Criminal Group, predominantly conducting appeals on behalf of the Crown in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. She joined Kate Sheppard Chambers in 2025. Charlotte is on the faculty for a number of New Zealand Law Society Continuing Legal Education courses and is a lecturer in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.
